LIGUO LI is the Secretary General of China International Friendship
Cities Association, the Director of Friendship City Department of the Chinese
People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC). After he
serves the Secretary General, he initiated office automation system, website
and journals on friendship-city works in China and successfully held China
International Friendship Cities Conference in the year of 2008 , 2010 and 2012
respectively.
He graduated from Luoyang PLA University of Foreign Language and then
served as a translator of Major rank in the General Staff Department of the
PLA. He has long been engaged in translation and revision of works on
international politics, economy, diplomacy, society and education, etc., which
total more than 5 million words. These works mainly include Translation Skills
in Diplomatic Articles in Japanese, Economics Dictionary in Japanese, English
and Chinese, Mayumi’s World, and Education Mystery of Zero-year-old Children,
etc.
He served as the Deputy Director of Cultural Exchange Department of
CPAFFC, and has long been engaged in cultural exchanges with other countries by
dispatching Chinese art troupes or hosting cultural groups or individuals on
their friendly visits, organizing performances, exhibitions, films and
television shows given by Chinese and overseas organizations.
He is fond of writing poems. Chinese Sports Anthem, one of his works
written in 2010 has been identified as the permanent theme song of National
Sport Festival of China by General Administration of Sport of China. He wrote
lyrics of The Road to the Republic, a symphony epic for celebrating the 100th
anniversary of the Revolution 1911.
